Boozed it. Lost it.

Charlotte Observor: A Hickory man is waiting to hear the list of charges he’ll face after slamming into a DWI mobile comand center Sunday morning.

The incident happened on US 321 at the intersection of 9th street around 2:45am. Law enforcement were conducting a DWI checkpoint when a 1989 red Camaro rammed into the back of the "Booze it and Lose it" mobile unit...Authorities believe Shane had consumed alcohol prior to the crash. Charges are pending in the case."

You must be wasted if you don't see the massive Winnebago camper with the words DWI Checkpoint written on it in letters two feet high.

Side note: I'm not sure if anything says "trash" more than a 1989 Camaro rear ending an RV at 2:45am in North Carolina, but let me know.

Fall Hard, Fall Fast

In hindsight, they should have just given him a gold watch.

ABC News: Patrick Sullivan was such a popular sheriff that Arapahoe County renamed the jail after him when he retired. Sullivan, arrested on drug charges this week, is now an inmate in the Patrick J. Sullivan Jr. Detention Facility.

Apparently, he was an upright guy and everybody liked him. According to ABC, he served as sheriff for close to twenty years, was named national deputy of the year in 2001, retired, had a jail named after him, and became director of safety and security for a school board. Then he allegedly tried to swap meth with a man in exchange for sex.

And that's that.

Whoopi Goldberg

This gave me a sick, creepy feeling. Watching someone split hairs about rape vs. rape-rape, whatever the hell that means. My comments follow.



Polanski's a good film director, and I like most of his movies. But he's a confessed rapist of a 13-year-old girl, and he skipped out before being sentenced. You can give his movies all the five stars you want, but facts are facts: he never paid for the crime of drugging and raping a girl.

Whoopi Goldberg goes for the gusto in defence of a Hollywood family member. First she gives us a strange definition of rape and rape-rape, then tells us that in some parts of the world, 13-year-olds are looked upon as fair game. Goldberg: "Well, you know, I have to tell you, again, we're, we're a different kind of society. We see things differently. The world sees 13-year-olds and 14-year-olds, in the rest of Europe, they are seen often times--"

She was interrupted before finishing what would have been an abysmal statement. But you get her drift. She finally closes the point thus: "I do know that not everybody sees things the way that we see things."

Ah. Polanski got the shaft because US rape laws are too narrow for a hip Euro guy like Polanski.

This is disgusting.

They save the best for last, though, as all of The View ladies break every rule in the feminist handbook and blame the victim's mother and the victim herself for being with Polanski in the first place.

Two thoughts: If the exact same language had been used on Jay Leno or Glenn Beck's shows, the screams for a boycott would be deafening. Considering The View's target audience is primarily homemaking women who probably have kids, Goldberg should be canned.

"You Could Smell Him."

Let's see...Breaking into a car that has a uniformed police officer inside. Soiling yourself. Ratting out a buddy.

Not exactly a tale of glory this genius will want to tell around the campfire later in life:

Deseret News: The boy dashed into a friend's house, where a party was going on, police said. Officers were let into the house where they found him — and discovered that he had soiled himself, Child said.

"You could smell him," Taylor said. "He told us, 'Yeah, I crapped my pants.' "

Police said the teen implicated a friend whom Taylor saw trying to break into cars across the street from his home.

"He gave up his friend," Child said, pointing to another 16-year-old who was also arrested in the burglary investigation.
